BonMots

As a long since French major, I try to ignore mispronunciation of commonly used phrases. But, if you adMen and journalists insist on using them… Coup de grâce is not coo de grah. It’s coo de grahss. Finishing blow. Pundits love the term, they rarely say it right. Voilà. You say the “V”. Not wallah. Ta dah. Think Vanna.

Take it from someone whose nickname in high school was Bonbons (Candy). Broken record alert. If you can afford those red-soled high heels, you can call them loo boo ten, not loo boo tahnz. Don’t even get me started on croissants.
